Toronto, Sept. 14.—Prospects are bright for the polling of a heavy vote throughout Ontario today. Interest in the federal election campaign has reached fever heat in many constituencies. Weather conditions are fair and cool throughout Ontario, and this condition should enhance the possibility of a large and representative expression of opinion at the polling booths.
If the number voting at the advance polls, which were open Friday, Saturday and Monday, is any indication, more electors should go to the polls today than in 1925. A decided increase in the number of commercial travelers, railwaymen and sailors casting their ballots in advance was noticed. A degree of apathy which was evident in the early stages of the campaign has developed during the last week into keen enthusiasm.

Wiewzyna Slawinski, 45 years old, died early this morning in Victoria Hospital, the third victim of a tragedy which had already claimed the lives of John Marks, 312½ Simcoe street, and his daughter, Annie, 7 years old. Two others, John Marks, 13 years old, and his mother, Mrs. John Marks, are still seriously ill as the result of eating deadly toadstools in mistake for mushrooms on Saturday. At Victoria Hospital this morning slight improvement was noted in the condition of the boy, but his mother is growing constantly worse. Little hope is held for the recovery of either. Joe Shyzmanski, 222 Horton street, with whom Slawinski lived, is steadily recovering from the effects of eating the fungi at his home.
