Miami, Florida, September 23.—(AP)—Additional surveys and rechecks made today along Florida’s storm-devastated southeastern coast showed 365 known dead; 1,100 injured, probably 500 seriously, in hospitals; and property loss of approximately $165,000,000.
America will reconsider World Court entry, report says
Initiative now rests with the powers participating in the Geneva discussion as the report of the conference, as adopted today, is merely of an advisory character. It recommends to the powers a formula of reply to the inquiry of the Washington government as to whether American signature of the World Court protocol on the basis of the reservation attached by the Senate would be satisfactory.
The powers are not committed to accept the advice of Geneva delegates. Each is free to formulate whatever reply to Washington it deems best and the next move expected is the decision of the individual powers on the nature of these replies.

But the handsome, rugged challenger dethroned a man who reached the end of his championship trail with few weapons and less stamina to defend his place at the top. Dempsey entered the ring a 4-to-1 favorite, backed as heavily as any champion in history.
